Stop Saggy Skin: My best wrinkle-erasing secrets

Wanna know a secret?

I used to be deathly afraid of aging.

Like so many others, I started feeling insecure about my skin when I reached 35.

Being a new mom, I felt more tired than ever, and thinning skin gave my face a sagging appearance that emotionally changed me.

My skin became dry and I started noticing wrinkles appearing.

Genetics, sun damage, and lifestyle choices like smoking and a poor diet are some of the most common causes of saggy skin and wrinkles.

Although we can’t do much to change the genetics we’re born with…

I’m here to say, you can reduce forehead wrinkles as much as possible using natural proven methods.

That’s why today I’m sharing some ways you can prevent, stop, and reverse aging wrinkles naturally.

Retrain Your Facial Expressions

Do you have lines on your forehead? Lines on the forehead come from our facial expressions when we’re sad, surprised, angry, or just from talking.

One way to help stop this is to retrain yourself to be more aware of your facial movements throughout the day.

Try spending a couple of minutes each day practicing talking and shouting without moving your forehead as much.

You can also try facial massages which benefit your skin because it encourages the blood to circulate and helps your skin look healthy and smooth.

Protect Yourself From the Sun

UV rays speed up your skin’s natural aging process and are the main cause of early wrinkling.

That’s because exposure to UV light breaks down your skin’s connective tissue which causes it to lose strength and flexibility. This is how your skin begins to sag and wrinkle prematurely.

Cover your skin with clothes and a hat, and apply high-quality sunscreen for about 15 minutes before going into the sun. Then reapply every 2 hours.

Wearing sunglasses can also help reduce lines caused by squinting.

Do You Have Sensitive Skin? Avoid Irritating It

Did you know, that scrubbing your skin clean can cause irritation which accelerates skin aging? Gentle washing helps to remove pollution, makeup, and other substances without irritating your skin. Gentle cleansing removes dead skin cells and brightens your complexion for baby soft skin.

Sugar scrubs are a gentler way to exfoliate. I shared an amazing sugar scrub in my last email. Go check it out in case you missed it.

Basically, you want to remove make-up and impurities without stripping off any skin.

Eat Foods Rich In Vitamins And Minerals

One of the easiest and most cost-efficient ways to fight off wrinkles is changing your diet. And you don’t have to go crazy despite what every health nut tries to make you believe. Here are 3 of the most important nutrients for your skin.

Omega-3 fatty acids:

They’re a great way to keep your skin hydrated and reduce the appearance of wrinkles by healing your skin from the inside out, relieving dry, damaged skin.
Some great ways to add omega-3 fatty acids to your diet are:

  • Fatty fish
  • Vegetable oils
  • Leafy greens
  • And nuts, seeds, and beans

Vitamin C:

Vitamin C minimizes wrinkles, relieves dryness, boosts collagen, and even slows the signs of aging. This is because Vitamin C plays a major part in forming skin and tendons in the body. Plus, it’s great to give your immune system a boost against fighting colds.
Best sources:

  • Fruits – oranges, kiwi, strawberries, mango
  • Veggies – broccoli, kale, brussel sprouts

Protein:

Your body turns the proteins you eat into building blocks called amino acids and reuses them to make other proteins, including the collagen and keratin that form the structure of skin. This helps promote skin elasticity, helps produce collagen, and reduces damage from the sun or wind. It also keeps your skin hydrated and reduces flakiness.
Best sources:

  • Venison,
  • beef,
  • turkey,
  • chicken,
  • fish,
  • eggs,
  • milk,
  • beans and beets

It’s Never Too Late

Even people who already have signs of premature skin aging can benefit from making lifestyle changes. By protecting your skin from the sun, and eating healthy foods mentioned above you give your skin a chance to repair some of the damage. Even smokers who stop often notice that their skin looks healthier.

Try these tips out and see for yourself.
