Green smoothie for your skin

I hope you’re enjoying the weekend.

As promised, today I’m sharing my favorite green smoothie recipe packed with antioxidants to help eliminate toxins and improve your complexion.

You already know, that what you eat shows up on your skin.

Flushing your body with lots of colorful fruits and vegetables helps to replenish collagen and gives your skin an enviable glow.

But for our skin to be strong, lustrous, and radiant, we also need the right bacterial and nutrient balance in our gut.

Skin issues that begin to appear could be a sign of your gut health gone wrong.

If you ever experienced inflammation or a leaky gut…

Your skin is usually the first place you start to notice problems.

The latest studies show, that when there’s gut inflammation, there will be skin inflammation.

So today I wanted to share with you my favorite green smoothie recipe packed with greens, healthy fats, protein, and probiotics…

Perfect for supporting your gut and repairing your skin with nourishing vitamins and powerful antioxidants..

My Favorite Green Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana you can use an unripe banana for a lesser sweet smoothie
  • 1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk (almond, coconut, cashew)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened plain coconut yogurt
  • 1-2 handfuls of baby spinach and/or baby kale
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 – 1 scoop of your favorite plant-based protein powder, vanilla or unflavoured (optional)
  • 3-4 ice cubes

Instructions:

Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend on high for about 30 seconds until smooth and creamy. Enjoy immediately. Serves 1 generously or 2 smaller servings. You can store leftovers in your fridge for an extra day if needed.

I usually use unsweetened vanilla almond milk as my base instead of unsweetened non-dairy. Just because I prefer the taste.

Feel free to use non-dairy yogurt instead of greek or cow’s milk in case these cause you breakouts or digestive issues.

Hope you enjoy this green smoothie recipe.

Feel free to let me know if you liked it, or share anything you may have added that makes it taste even better.

Stay Beautiful!
